Hello, and welcome to my photography world. 

I am Tasha Hall, I am a photographic artist! I run BC Farm & Family Photography. We live on 13 acres in the interior of British Columbia, really, we live in the middle of nowhere, Edgewood, BC. I could tell you that I have loved photography my whole life, and I have, but I'm sure every photographer says that, so instead I will tell you some other facts about me, interesting, or not...

~ The portraits above show you three years of our own "Farmily"... how we change over time. Every year we create a new portrait. We are getting quite a collection!

~ I had the same horse for 30 years, I lost her at 32 years old. Temptation, or Tempie, was my heart horse. A grey Arabian mare with fire in her soul. She was my best friend for such a huge part of my life. (Shown in our farmily images above).

~ I will rescue anything... a spider from the bathtub, a worm from the sidewalk, if it lives and breathes, it deserves compassion and life. Okay okay... if it bites me on purpose, I might smack it... mosquitos and horse flies are not my friends! I have rescued way more animals than I can count, including but not limited to an eagle, baby Canada goslings, fawns, birds, and many domestic critters.

~ We travel quite a bit and for each trip we take, I try to help one thing... a dog, a cat.... or in the case of our last trip to Africa, an entire orphanage... I can't seem to help myself.

~ I have moved over 40 times in my life! Mostly between the Kootenays, and Vancouver Island. I really have no idea why I moved so much... Life just kept flowing I guess. I have been in my current home for the longest I have ever been anywhere, 9 years now, and no plans on leaving! Finally growing roots!

~ I travel for 95% of my photography sessions... I guess that comes from living in the middle of nowhere.

~ I specialize in full farm portraits... What is a full farm portrait you might ask? Well, most families have beautiful portraits of their families up on their walls... the human parts of the family that is, and there are people out there who are like me, and feel that all of our furry and feathered friends are also considered family! This is the "farmily" portrait that I want to capture. My dream is to travel the world and capture beautiful farmily images for people all over the place, and eventually write a book of farms around the world!

~ I also love photographing pets! Dogs, cats, horses, rats, chickens, you name it, I’ll photograph it...

~ I will photograph your family but you must have at least one pet included in the session!! :P haha. Looking forward to meeting you!
